The characters in Among the Hidden stimulate polar aspects that keep them special throughout the book. The protagonist, Luke, is a tether sister that has to stay cloak-and-dagger because of the tribe Law. He is real uncertain and skittish because he has never been around allone as well his family. He wants to be in the outside world, but the political sympathies would cut down him if they found him. Matthew, Lukes older brother, was the offshoot son. Jennifer was another third child that organized a interchange against the government. Luke thinks they be well-off because they bunghole go anywhere. The antagonist in the story is the government. The government has made a law that families give the gate only set about dickens children. T his is what causes Luke to go into hiding. The fourth dimension is the future because the book describes laws that harbort been made yet. Also, famines are world wide and viands isnt well distributed in the future. The conflict in Among the Hidden is man vs. society. Luke has to stay hidden because of the Population Law. The government state that families could only produce two kids so the world would have enough food. Also, the government tries to make everyone go vegetarian because they think that it is fitter for you. The Population Police kills any third child they take care so they can get paid. The only way empennage kids (third child) can countermand the government from killing them is to get a fake identity. The worry is that Luke has to stay hidden for the rest of his life. If he is found the Population Police would kill him because he is a third child. He cant go to develop or have a normal kids life. All he does is sit in his room and wait. He cant even eat at his familys table.
